Go-karting offers an introduction to racing. Formula One driver Fernando Alonso had his start in go-karting.
SG Changi was yesterday unable to share details of the cost of entering the academy.
According to Mr Murahashi, the academy is prepared to accept entrants from as young as five, a move that is likely to be embraced by young drivers such as 11-year-old Jon Lee.
“Hopefully this academy can develop more young drivers and the Government can do more for motorsports,” said Jon, cadet winner of the first round of the Nescafe Singapore Karting Championship in April.
