Launch of PAssion Motoring
8 September 2011 Geylang Serai Community Club
PAssion Motoring is the first and newest automotive community initiative in Singapore backed by the PMET division of the People’s Association (PA) and driven by the motoring community for the community at large.
Dr Fatimah Lateef, Member of parliament for Marine Parade GRC and Advisor to Geylang Serai CC was the Guest-of-Honour and Ms Cheryl Tay is the leader of PAssion Motoring.
Thanks to Singapore Karting Championship (SKC), Jon, who has won the SKC 2010 cadet championship and currently leading the SKC 2011 cadet championship, was selected among the six karters to attend the launch as SKC and Karting ambassadors.
On stage, when asked by Cheryl, “We understand that you are taking your PSLE Examination this year, tell us, how did you cope with your studies and continue to kart actively?” Jon replies, “I use my free time to do my revision. As I only kart on Saturday so I focus on my studies on weekdays. When I have races on both weekends, I will skip class on Friday and I ask my classmates on Monday.”
It was an enjoyable night for Jon as he chills out with his karting friends and all the motoring enthusiasts while sipping away lots of sparkling juice.
